If the media you desire to import is on an external storage device or a memory card, connect the device to your Mac and turn on the device.
In Terminal Cut Pro, do ane of the following:
- Cull File > Import > Media (or press Command-I).
- Click the Import Media button on the left side of the toolbar.
In the Devices department on the left side of the Media Import window, select your Mac or the connected external storage device or memory menu from which you desire to import media.
Utilize list view at the bottom of the window to navigate to a file or folder and select it.

When you import from your Mac or a storage device, filmstrips are visible for private selected clips only.

Utilize the settings on the right side of the Media Import window to choose how y'all want to organize the imported media in your library:
- Add together the imported clips to an existing event: Select "Add to existing event," then cull the event from the popular-up bill of fare.
- Create a new consequence: Select "Create new upshot in," apply the popular-up menu to choose the library in which y'all want to create the consequence, then type a proper name for the consequence (for case, "Chris and Kim Wedding") in the text field.

Choose a storage location for the media files:

If you lot want to organize your media, override automated part assignment, create optimized or proxy media, analyze the video, or analyze the sound, select the relevant checkboxes in the Keywords, Audio Roles, Transcoding, and Clarify sections.
